Department of Internal Audit

The internal audit department is a newly established department at the National Transit Authority (NTA).  It was established on December 1, 2010 by the Board of Directors primarily to ensure that the best interest of the entity is guaranteed to promote operational efficiency.  Currently, the department is headed by Mr. Edmund Forh Forh, BBA, MBA and assisted by Mr. Lawrence L. Flomo, BBA.

At NTA we considered the internal audit function an information service practice that provides objective assurance to management and the Board of Directors about the reasonableness of financial, operational and technical performances of the entity.  The internal auditors do not make decision for management, but rather examine processes and produce reliable and relevant reports to inform management decisions. The internal audit department is expected to exhibit a high degree of objectivity, competence and professional due care in the exercise of audit function in the institution.
